Your responsibilities:
- Evaluate and define the category/purchasing strategy for all kinds of electrical/electronical parts
- Manage the assigned category budget of around 15 million CHF p.a.
- Negotiate all major framework agreements within the category
- Participate in development teams for new products, services and solutions (R&D, IT)
- Optimize networking capital under consideration of availability of the parts and optimize the stock value
- Ensure complete master data management for procurement in the category
- Build up an efficient reporting system
- Define and monitor targets related to the category
- Support use of e-procurement systems and ensure full evaluation of potential opportunities
- Support project buyers
- Report to the Head of Procurement
Your profile:
- Technical education or comparable background
- Degree in engineering or a related technical field advantageous
- At least 3 years’ work experience in procurement, project buying or category management in a global organization beneficial
- Deep know-how of electrical/electronical parts in Eastern Europe and Asia advantageous
- Experience in international process/project management
- Ability to create strong contractual agreements with a minimum of legal assistance
- Very good communication skills in written and spoken German and English
- Proactive and persistent character with a positive mindset and an integrative personality
- Strong analytical skills, a structured way of working and a hands-on mentality
- Willingness to travel worldwide, especially in Eastern Europe and Asia (approx. 25%)
