The Institute of Polymer Engineering has a focus on product and process innovation with an emphasis on high-performance polymers and composites, as found in the automotive or aerospace sector. We are looking for a:

Professor (m/f)
for High-Performance Polymers

Your tasks: We expect you to strengthen our activities by acquiring and leading projects in applied research and technology development with industry partners in the focus area of the institute. Your teaching assignment includes the fundamentals of chemistry and polymer synthesis. You will teach young engineers in mechanical and business engineering in a practice-oriented manner with reference to your own engineering experience. Last but not least, you will foster your professional network in academia and industry.

Your profile: You have a Master's degree, a PhD or an equivalent education in polymer chemistry or materials science as well as several years of industrial experience. You have an outstanding record in researching and tailoring the structure-property relationship of high-performance thermoplastic polymers and thermosets in an industrial context. You are particularly talented in captivating young engineering students for the fundamentals of chemistry. You can rely on a well-established network in academia and industry for the benefit of your future work.
